About the course
Arabic is 5th popular language of the world having 280 million speakers. Its rich culture and diversity attract its followers. The plentiful Middle East offers more opportunities to an Arabic speaker. Soon as one can just utter a few words of Arabic Language in front of a native speaker they show their warmth of delight and eager to help in any possible manner. Our technical youth can get an access to Middle East and Arab world through learning of this language. They will have an edge even in competition with west. Subsequently a Muslim can be able to understand Islam better by knowing and understanding the teachings of Quran. Today when increasing bitterness between the “Arab World” and the “West” pushing them apart it is crucial to understand Islam and its various streams towards peace.
Syllabus
Course Objectives
The students will be able to:
- Understand and speak Arabic language at basic level of proficiency
- Develop comprehension of Quran and Salah and Arabic texts
- Prepare the students to apply for jobs in Arabic speaking countries
Course Learning Outcomes
- To introduce themselves, family, their country etc.
- To describe their daily routine, food, jobs etc.
- To be involved in shopping, chit chat with people, travel and hobbies etc.
- To understand Surah Al Fatiha,
- To understand first 30 Ayahs from Surah Al Baqarah.
- Three grammatical types in Arabic (parts of speech): Ism, Hurf and Fa’el.
- Identifying Nouns, Original Pronouns and Attached Pronouns.
